SCHOOL FACILITIES

Dreamland school has buildings for the primary, middle school and a higher school wing. It has a separate building for conducting ICSE and ISC examinations near to the high school building.The school is well-equippedwith modern amenities keeping pace with the changing modern aspects of education. The school provide its students with every facility that can be broadly divided into the following categories:

Library rules:

Reading is an important means of gaining knowledge. No text book can be sufficient for a student to learn everything on the subject. Students from 6 to 12 need to refer to reference books of their class levels. These reference books are available in the school library. If the students suggest some books, we buy those books for them. To borrow books from the school library, the students need to make a library card of Rs.100/-.

Follow the rules:
  • Carry your student ID card (or CHOIS Card) with you when you enter the library.
  • Do not take any book or other library material out of the library without following the borrowing procedures.
  • Make sure to return the borrowed items by the due date.
  • In case any of the borrowed items being lost, damaged, or destroyed, you are required to replace the lost /damaged/destroyed item with a new one.
  • Never write in books or cut pages out of them.
  • Return books/materials to their original location on the bookshelf.
Practice good manners:
  • Any food is not allowed to have in the library. Only drink bottles with a cap that could be tightly closed are permitted in the reading room.
  • Using of mobile phones is prohibited. Switch your mobile phone off and keep it in your bag, etc. while you are in the library.
  • Private conversations are not permitted. Even talking in a whisper or standing and chatting may be disturbing to others. Strictly prohibited from doing the above.
  • Refrain from leaving your baggage, etc. on library chairs/sofas, and avoid taking up two seats by sitting on one and putting your baggage, clothes, etc. on the other. Also, please be sure not to leave valuables unattended.

SCHOOL UNIFORM:

A school uniform teaches students to dress smartly and take pride in their appearance.

  1. To ensure uniformity in th cloth for the school uniform, cloth length must be purchased from the school of S.Kumar brand. NO CLOTH MATERIALS FROM OUTSIDE WILL BE ALLOWED.
  2. The uniform has to be stitched by any local tailor as per the specification given in the school. Any violation from the specification provided by the school can be rectified by again stitching a new Uniform.
  3. All students must be in neat and clean and properly ironed school uniforms every day. The shoes must be polished every day and socks must have tight elastic. For any kind of improper uniform the penalty of Rs. 10/- per day will be imposed.
  4. School Tie provided by the school must be worn in a proper way with tie knot at the top with the collar button properly fixed.
  5. Stylish haircuts or colouring are not permitted.
  6. Girls will not wear any jewellery or use cosmetics in school, coloured hair clips or bands.

Boys from Nursery to Standard – 5

  • Half Pant with 2 pleats, 2 cross pockets, belt loop and loose fitting.
  • Half sleeves shirt upto elbow length with school monogram stitched on the left side pocket and loose fitting.

Boys from Standard – 6 to 12

  • Full Pant with 2 pleats, 2 cross pockets, 1 kack pocket, belt loop and loose fitting.
  • Low waist is completely disallowed.
  • Half sleeves shirt upto elbow length with school monogram stitched on the left side pocket and loose fitting.

Girls from Standard – 1 to 12

  • Box pleats round the skirt, belt loop, 2 side pockets and length upto knee
  • Low waist is completely disallowed.
  • Half sleeves shirt upto elbow length with school monogram stitched on the left side pocket and loose fitting.

Girls from Nursery to KG 2

  • Tunic with upper portion striped shirt piece and lower portion with sky blue skirt piece and round collar with sky blue piece.

 

SHOES

  • Black school shoes with black socks. Buy only school shoes from Bata or Khadim or other reputed brands. No fashionable shoes are allowed.

PT Uniform

  • White pant for Boys and White Divided Skirt for girls with House wise Red or Blue or Green or Yellow Shirt.
  • Red, Blue, Green & Yellow Caps with school monogram will be given in the school for the students to use in PT Class and Sports.
  • White canvas shoes and white socks,Tie,Belt, I. Card will be given in the class.

Winter Uniform

  • The students from Nursery to Class-8 will wear Woolen Sweaters in the Winter Season. The students from Classes- 9 to 12 will wear Blazers in the winter season.
  • The school will provide the cloth for the Blazer in August. The school will also provide Woolen Sweaters of matching colours to the students in August. It is compulsory to buy the Cloth for Blazer or Sweater from the school. This is compulsory because we want to maintain uniformity in the school uniform.
  • Only during the winter season the students upto Class-4 are allowed to wear Full Pants (Boys) and Black Slacks (Girls). Cloth for the Full Pant must be bought from school in August.

 

Identity Cards:

School ID cards are used to identify students increasing campus security. The Identity Card provided by the school must be worn everyday. A student will not be allowed to sit in the class if the Identity Card is not brought.School ID CARDS are mandatory.

SCHOOL OFFICE RULES:

  1. The school fees cover twelve calendar months, April to March, and may be paid in monthly installments or in advance. No reduction is made for holidays. Students are liable to be charged full fees as long as their names are officially on the rolls. Fees once paid will not be refunded.
  2. The fees, if paid monthly, must be paid on or before the due date which is 20th of the month, failing which, a late fee of Rs. 5/- will be levied.
  3. Fee defaulters will not be allowed to attend classes if fees are not cleared during the same month. Fee defaulters will not be allowed to appear in the school examinations.
  4. Fees for the holiday months must be paid in advance before the school closes. All dues of the school upto March next year must be paid by 15th February.
  5. Before withdrawing a student from the school, a month’s notice is to be given or a month’s fee in lieu of notice.
  6. The Transfer Certificate will be given, if applied, for a fee of Rs. 500/-
  7. No certificate will be issued until all dues to the school have been paid in full.
  8. A pupil who has attended a recognized school cannot be admitted without a Transfer Certificate from the school last attended. The original birth certificate for confirming the date of birth has to be presented at the time of new admission. Two pass port size coloured recent photos are necessary at the time of new admission.
  9. Those who will avail school bus services will have to pay the bus fee based on the distance travelled. Till the written application for stopping bus facility is submitted in the school office, the guardians will have to pay the Bus fee.
  10. Although the school has Buses, the school is not in any way obliged to all guardians to provide Bus facilities. Only if the space is available in the Bus, the school can provide a student with the bus facility.
  11. OFFICE HOURS: School office opens at 10 a.m. and all monetary transactions continue upto 2 p.m. But any official job can happen in the school office upto 4.30 p.m. Office Phone No. 2663-4888.

Our classrooms are spacious, responsive, student- centered to provide its students with every opportunity through which they are able to cultivate and nurture their talents.

Teaching kids about positive competition and motivation can be helpful. A swimming pool is a great place to use swimming skills or games to teach this.

Transport

Our school transportation is optional for students and since all students are required to be seated, it is important that applications for transportation are given well in advance.

School Rules and Regulations

English:

The school will teach the children how to speak English. Six hours in school are not sufficient for the children to learn to speak English fluently.

Speaking in Vernacular:

Our school is an English Medium school. The language of teaching any subject is English. Our main objective is to learn everything including speaking in English fluently.

Class Teachers and School Coordinators:

Class Teachers -The class teachers of the classes are like the true parents of the students in the school. The Principal acts through the Coordinators of the school.

Attendance:

Guardians should note that 75% attendance in the school is a must, failing which no student will be allowed to sit for the final examination either of the SCHOOL

Punishment:

In our school physical punishment and mental torture are completely banned. No teacher should adopt this barbaric method. We apply the civilized method of counseling the students.

Dismissal:

Students whose attendance is irregular, who do not pay their fees, who are habitually late or absent, lazy or disobedient, ….

Change School:

If the teachers find any student having objectionable behavioural problem,and unsuitable to the tune of discipline and academic atmosphere of the school, ….

Late Attendance:

The school gate closes for all at 10:40 a.m. All students must reach the school before the gate closes. The Assembly Time is from 10:45a.m to 11:00a.m.

Outside Behaviour:

On their way to and from school, students must behave in agentle and sober manner. Smoking, chewing pan, chewing gum, betel nut or tobacco, etc.

Books And Copies:

All students must bring all books and copies as per Time Table in the school. (Penalty Rs.10/-). All books copies must be properly labeled and named.

Projects:

All Project Files must be submitted before the due date otherwise the penalty fine of Rs.100/- per Project/ Practical File must be paid.

Reporting Time:

Pupils must be present at the school premises fifteen minutes before the school starts. All students must reach the school by 10.40 a.m. School begins with the Assembly at 11 a.m.

ISC Admission:

The I.S.C. (Classes – 11 & 12) is a separate course. Admission to it is entirely at the discretion of the Principal, even for the students who have completed the I.C.S.E. at DREAMLAND SCHOOL.

School Bus / Van:

Our school has a fleet of buses and vans. All the students are encouraged to come to school in the school vehicles. Road accidents is beyond the control of school authority.

Accident:

In case a child falls sick or meets with any accident in the school premises, he / she can be helped with immediate first aid only.

There are four Houses in the school – RED, BLUE, GREEN & YELLOW. The four Houses are named after the four elements of nature – RED ROSE, BLUE SKY, GREEN LEAF & YELLOW SUN.

Examination:

For students who are absent for any Examination, no provision can be made for any supplementary examination or test. A student who will who fail twice in the same class must be withdrawn.

Promotion to the next higher class is decided by the Principal in Meeting with the teachers. Guardians will be given reasonable opportunity of being heard.

Our school is a social organization with a philanthropic outlook without any commercial or business motive. We receive no donation from anyone,

Private tution is completely a private affair of the parents. The school will ensure good teaching in the classes so that private tuition is not necessary.
